Anthony Nardo has a love of the mechanical world, of cars, of mathematics, and of hands-on learning, and he recently combined all of them for a project that usually doesn't involve any of them:

Cosmetics.

And it was a beautiful, glossy hit.

Nardo, a Graphics Design senior, is one of five national finalists in The Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributors (ICMAD) Association's 2020 Young Designers Awards Competition.

Three amazing pre-college classes open this fall for high school students looking to level-up their skills and portfolio. Almost all of PCAD's pre-college classes award college credit upon successful completion, giving students college classroom experience and a leg up in degree completion, while being taught by professional artists and designers.

Seven artists, gallery professionals and curators visited PCA&D Monday to assist in the second annual portfolio review for the senior fine art and photography majors.

Arranged by Julia Staples, Adjunct Instructor in the Photography Department, as part of the students' required Professional Practices Class, the event was designed to offer networking opportunities to the students along with practice in talking to professionals and showing their work.
