Mary Colleen Heil Day proclaimed in the City of Lancaster

Whereas Under Mary Colleen Heil’s direction, PCA&D purchased and developed its campus at 202 and 204 N Prince Street, along with the Art Garden, which serve as the entrance to and the impetus for the creation of Lancaster City’s Gallery Row, the City of Lancaster commends Mary Collen Heil for her positive influence and contributions to the City of Lancaster and proclaim June 1, 2018 as Mary Colleen Heil Day in the City of Lancaster.

Your support of PCA&D made possible one of the top visual arts events in Lancaster, showcasing the work of our students and highlighting PCA&D as one of the best centers for creativity and forward-thinking design on the East Coast. More than 1,400 guests attended and had the opportunity to meet the artists and view their work, as well as enjoy live music, refreshments, and the celebratory spirit for which our Senior Show & Celebration is known. In addition on Friday there was $4,400 in sales of student artwork, which goes directly to the students, w hat a great way to launch their lives in art!

From the label on a soda can to the most sophisticated interactive website, to the look and function of applications – the creative process always involves working with other designers, photographers, digital artists, and illustrators to meet the needs of a client.
