The Mosaic Project: Amber Robles Gordon and Nate Lewis
October 2nd through December 8th, 2017
The significance of art in the lives of our youth cannot be underestimated. Yet, just when research is finally emerging that supports this, budget cuts and curricular demands are threatening the foundation of creativity in our public schools. In order to fill that gap as well as enrich the community, Pennsylvania College of Art & Design developed The Mosaic Project, a multicultural exhibition and education program for students and families in Lancaster County.
The 9th annual Mosaic Project is made possible in part by a grant from the Richard S. & Ann B, Barshinger Family Foundation.
Nate Lewis is a self-taught artist, drawing inspiration from anatomy, physiology, disease processes and creates stunning, intricate 2-3d sculptures out of single sheets of paper.
Amber Robles-Gordon, is a mixed media visual artist. She primarily works and is known for her use of found objects and textile to create assemblages, large-scale sculptures and installations.

December 18th, 2017 through February 9th, 2018
Ranu Mukherjee’s work explores states of excess, drawing links between present day global capitalism and animism still residual in our collective psyche. Occupying fragments as a generative source, she makes and unmakes images, culling content from a variety of diverse sources ranging from 19th century Indian lithographs to images of current events.
February 19th though April 20th, 2018
Gale Jamieson is a mixed media artist who works with the concept that “an idea seeks it’s own form”. To Jamieson material and its nature are source. “By changing the context in which an ordinary object is experienced, seeing the ordinary in a non-ordinary way, a shift in perception can occur.”
