Join us Saturday, June 8th at the Pennsylvania College of Art & Design for our Family & Friends Art Making Day–a day of workshops for families and friends of all ages to come together, relax, and create art. Two morning sessions will be held for families and children. Create whimsical recycled sculptures or join us outdoors for an exciting introduction to abstract painting class. In the evening, there we will host two adult classes creating monoprinted greeting cards and portrait painting with friends, significant other, or group of friends. All workshops are two hours in length and participants will leave each session with a piece of art to bring home. All ages and abilities are invited to join in on the fun.

WS 116 - Friends Painting Friends: An Interpretive Portrait Painting Workshop
Saturday June 8, 4 P.M. - 6 P.M.
Instructor: Peter Stevenson
How do you see your friends? Come as a group, or a pair, and depict the personality of your friend, significant other, or group of friends through artistic expression. In this fun painting workshop, artist Peter Stevenson will guide participants through an interpretive exercise of the mind and artistic expression. Each individual will dive into their creativity and convey their friend or loved one’s inner persona through art. All experience levels welcome! Experience a relaxing event spent in the company of friends—a departure from the weekday grind that will result in each participant taking home a unique and personal portrait painting.
