The current exhibition in PCA&D's Main Gallery, Selected Artworks from the BFA Program at PCA&D, features a selection of outstanding artwork created by forty of our rising junior and senior BFA students. A wide variety of media are represented including digital and hand-painted illustration, sculpture, painting, printmaking, photography and graphic design.

The exhibit runs through July 20. Opening Reception: First Friday, July 6, 5 -8 p.m.

From up in the sky to down below the ground, Pennsylvania College of Art & Design is partnering with the North Museum of Nature and Science to explore the different kinds of habitats and homes around the world.

At the first ever PCA&D Art Market during the April 6th First Friday, PCA&D’s illustration, fine art, design, and photography majors have gathered some of their favorite work to sell.

he Art Market will be held on the April 6th First Friday, 5:30-8:30 pm in the PCA&D Atrium, 204 N Prince Street, Lancaster and will feature all original and handmade items by student artists.

emily white.jpegSenior designer, Emily White, York PA, received an honorable mention in the Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributors (ICMAD) association’s 2017-2018 Young Designers Package Design Competition. Annually, students in Tom Newmaster's Package Design class create packaging for fictitious cosmetic brands for the competition, which draws entries from 27 college programs throughout the United States.

Approximately 400 First Friday goers visited all the stops during the first annual Print Crawl scattered around downtown Lancaster, and went home with a beautiful poster featuring iconic Lancaster City, designed by PCA&D students Austin Lord and Catherine Spengler!

Austin, an illustration senior from Mechanicsburg, and Catherine, a graphic Design junior from Lancaster, created each of the eight sections on the poster, which were completed as participants went from stop to stop on the crawl, First Friday, September 1, 5 – 9 p.m. to get each section silkscreened, printed or stamped.

Every year for nine years, right before spring break, PCA&D students shut themselves in to give back to the community.  At the annual Designathon, PCA&D’s Graphic Design Department and the student chapter of AIGA (The American Institute of Graphic Arts) coordinate the event, a 24-hour marathon to design quality graphic materials for local non-profit organizations.
