A small group of PCA&D Digital Media students took a trip on October 3 and 4th to volunteer at the FoST: Future of Storytelling Summit in New York, one of the leading conferences for emerging new media and virtual reality.

The exhibition at the Main Gallery at PCA&D this summer features a selection of outstanding artwork created by our rising junior and senior BFA students. A wide variety of media are represented including digital and hand-painted works, illustration, sculpture, painting, printmaking, photography and graphic design. The exhibit opens Monday June 11 and runs through July 27.

Opening Reception: First Friday, July 6, 5 -8 p.m.

Pictures, top to bottom, the works of Maikue Lor, Karim Gavins, Melanie Vera, Naomi Hudnall, and Rainey Supple.

Jon DiVenti, chair of PCA&D’s Digital Media Department, read the autobiography Between Heaven and the Real World by Steven Curtis Chapman,  one of Jon’s favorite musicians,  and was inspired to make a painting in an attempt to capture the personality of Chapman’s spirited youngest daughter Maria, who died in a tragic accident at age 5.
