Pennsylvania College of Art & Design's Fine Art Department periodically hosts its Lunchtime Informal Lecture Series to address issues that students find troubling, and to be immediately applicable to their studio work. On December 11,  Evan Kitson. Fine Art Professor who teaches drawing and painting, addressed twenty students with a demonstration on the Structure of Light.

During the summer following my junior year in high school, I realized that I wouldn’t be happy unless I was in a creative field. I decided that I wanted to study art. I loaded up on art classes and knew I needed to build my technical skills and learn how to support myself as an artist.

Stephanie Deininger, who teaches Youth Studio Art Classes for the Continuing Education Department, grew up in Philadelphia and moved to the  Lancaster area to attend college, majoring in Art and Art Education at Millersville University.  Some of her other interests besides teaching and creating art are: yoga, traveling, cooking, hiking, and interior design.

In order to fill that gap as well as enrich the community, Pennsylvania College of Art & Design developed The Mosaic Project, a multicultural exhibition and education program for students and families in Lancaster County.
